Support the Library

Sir Alfred Chester Beatty made what is widely considered to be the most valuable gift ever given to the Irish nation but did not provide any endowment for its maintenance.

As a national cultural institution, we receive grant-in-aid support from the Government for basic running costs but must rely increasingly on private support for vital activities such as conservation, education and research.

Your support is more important than ever to ensure the future of one of the world's great collections of European, Islamic and East Asian art. Every donation is welcome and helps to preserve this remarkable collection for generations to come.

There are many ways you can support the Chester Beatty, including becoming a member, making a donation or sponsoring an exhibition or programme.
